Healing Circles

The Revadim Project offers healing circles for women coping with cancer and for people coping with loss.

What are healing circles?

Healing circles are a special kind of group that involves sharing, listening and silence, and allows each person the time and space he or she needs to help them on their healing journey. The circle gives equal value to each participant. Within this receptive and nurturing environment, the conversation can reach deep layers of experience.

Circle Guidelines:

We treat each other with kindness and respect.
We listen with compassion and curiosity.
We honor each other’s unique ways of healing and don’t presume to advise or fix or try to save each other
We hold all stories shared in the Circle confidential.
We trust each of us has guidance we need within us and we rely on the power of silence to access it.

Circle facilitators and organizers are supported by Commonweal, a center near San Francisco where support programs for people with cancer and their families have been implemented for the past 40 years.

Based on the Commonweal experience, satellite centers have been established in other parts of the United States and in Canada. These centers are community oriented and configured around healing circles. Our initiative is the first of its kind bringing healing circles to Israel.

What does it take to be a member of a healing circle? Listening with attention and speaking with intention.
